Forgetful Brits are jetting off
without some holiday essentials, research shows.
Brits are getting caught up in
the excitement of going on holiday - to the point where three out of ten admit
to forgetting some crucial items, according to research.
The item left behind most often
was the humble toothbrush, according to the survey - forgotten by 22% of absent-minded holidaymakers.
And even though Brits rarely need
them at home, another one in five managed to jet off without their sunglasses.
Cameras and the vital first aid
kit were frequently overlooked too, but worryingly, two out of ten said they
had forgotten contact details for important services such as their bank or even
their travel insurance provider.
But not all tourists had
insurance in the first place - nearly one in three Brits who admitted that they
had neglected to take out a policy. A further one in five had not applied to
renew their European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).
Still, at least they were not all
among the one in three who said that they had forgotten to pack their suitcases
at all.
